As you know, Starkville municipal elections are coming up. Primaries are held on May 2, and the general election is held on June 6.
Candidates need poll watchers. The Legal Leaders' Task Force of the Greater Starkville Development Partnership is training poll watchers from 2 to 5 p.m. on the 23rd of March at the Oktibbeha County Courthouse Annex.
The public is invited. The cost is $15. You may attend by registering online at www.legalleadersseminar.org.
By the way, in case you do not know, Lynn Spruill is running for Mayor of Starkville. She would appreciate your vote in the May 2 primary. There will be no general election for Mayor. All mayoral candidates are registered as democrats.
Likewise, if you live off Lynn Lane, then you live in Ward 2. Sandra Sistrunk, who works in our office as office manager, is running for alderman in Ward 2. There are three candidates in this election, a democrat, a republican and an independent. The general election will make the difference here, and it is on June 6.
We have signs available both for Lynn and Sandra at the Spruill Property Management office and we would love to give you one to put in your yard. Please come by to pick up a sign.
